Beyond words

I joined the church in 2015 of which at about that time I was still trying to discover purpose but by the teachings and messages of the Church, I am fully grounded in my Christian Faith. I graduated from the University with a bachelor degree in law 2021 and I was fully sponsored at the Nigerian Law School by the assistant general overseers Southern region.

A 4OTH ANNIVERSARY TESTIMONY

TITLE: MY SECOND COMING – An Indelible Proof You’re In Elshaddai Not By Accident

The incident happened some years ago. A young boy went to visit an elder brother of his in Jos city. Being from a godly home, he was immediately saddened by the lifestyle in which he met his brother. He therefore summoned courage and preached to him that night, but was afraid of praying the sinner’s prayer over him lest he might be sent back to the village from whence he came. The following day being Sunday, he asked his brother which church he attended; and probably because Elshaddai’s TV broadcasts were popular in those days, he said he was a member of Elshaddai.

THE FIRST COMING
That was how they both carried themselves to Elshaddai which was then at Lugard Avenue opposite UTC that morning. But what happened that they both got glued to the edges of their pew with wide eyes, was when God’s servant, Dr James, began to preach and he was saying the exact same things that the younger bro had been saying the previous night. The young man had no way of suspecting his kid brother to have reported him to the man of God. Unquestionably, God was right here in this church.
When Papa (as he was fondly called) finished and made the altar call which the younger brother had been afraid to do the previous night, the young man jumped out shamelessly, in the sight of that crowd, in the Lugard’s Avenue auditorium, and gave his life to Jesus Christ that day. It was one of a salvation experience, too wonderful to be forgotten. The day was Sunday, 27th February 1994 (picture attached), in the church that was later going to metamorphosize into our present day Elshaddai Cathedral.
That new convert thereafter, grew on to become a fiery evangelist in his hometown in Benue state where he touched many lives before God later called him home to glory. The younger brother would himself return back to Jos later to live on his own, but this time he joined a ministry where he began ministry life and continued to serve the Lord for many years to come.

THE SECOND COMING
Years down the road, in the new millennium, through un – preempted dealings and unprecedented promptings in the Spirit, the younger brother felt led to apply to three churches of which ECM was one. Almost immediately he got called by Elshaddai which coincidentally, were doing a staff recruitment at the time. That was how he got recruited into ECM’s workforce in 2007.
Today it’s been over two decades; on the road – nights and days, and having served at various locations and presently as the branch pastor of the Bauchi church; I Pastor Martins present to you unequivocally, that you cannot be here in El-Shaddai by accident.

FURTHERMORE
But even more intriguing and thrilling, it just dawned on me now that the ECM’s 40th Anniversary event of 25th October 2026 coincides exactly with my BIRTHDAY which is also 25th October. No, no, no! ….. these are all too more than mere coincidences. I believe this perfect harmonization of bits and pieces suggest a destiny realignment.

IT IS ABOUT YOU TOO
Perhaps this is also your 1st, 2nd or even 3rd coming to El-Shaddai. I don’t see it as a coincidence either. You may not share the same birthday with ECM as I do, but you share something even more spectacular. You share the same dreams and visions with El-Shaddai. That tells me that you are also not here by accident my dear!. It is something I have found that God recruits men into Elshaddai and that is why I repeat my friend, that you are not here by accident.

Attached Photo: The picture says it all. Pure joy in the atmosphere after an Elshaddai church service as a first timer at Lugard’s Avenue; and the salvation of a soul saved on that 27th day of February 1994 is contagious. That highlighted my first coming to El-Shaddai!
